Banner Design

We reserve the right to make changes to your design and its location. Also, the banner must not block house placement. Here is a page with more information on banners, including an exploded view of a banner’s design.  http://www.uoguide.com/File:Gyldenfeld_banner_exploded.jpg
InsideUO should be used to find the correct ID numbers of the components for the proposed banner. It will also help you to construct a picture of the banner.

Banners are limited to a size of 6x6 tiles. Designs should be similar to the Gyldenfeld banner in terms of size, complexity and number of items used.  Banner designs that do not meet the requirements will be returned.

Town Recognition Requirements:

1) Minimum of 5 Establishments in a geographical area that promotes the community of the inhabitants.  If you are applying for a tavern or single establishment, it must meet all of the other requirements listed except for leadership.

2) Some sort of leadership structure, mayor, council for example.

3) Town Activity, the town should have citizens around at least a few times each week, usually with some announced meetings or events.

4) Must have 6 months of history.  There should be an archive of records either in game or outside of the game.

5) Web Sites and/or Message Boards, mailbox, books, barkeep or other ways to communicate with citizens, patrons, and visitors. The web site or board usually gives information about what the town is designed for, who the mayor is, and how people can get involved with the town.

Benefits:

A banner placed in the town, the town has design input.   In the future we may add gates connecting the towns to a central area (perhaps the Luna Fair Grounds)

Special thanks to Mesanna and the Chesapeake, Great Lakes, Origin and Europa Event Moderators for making this possible.

Mars comes into opposition!

E-mail Print PDF

The orders from brigand Lead John Hind read:

We shall attack from hedge maze when mars comes into opposition!

Well this evening Mars will come in Opposition at 8:00 PM EST.  Avery would ask all that are able to assemble at the Counselor Hall in Britain.  This astronomical event may have a dramatic effect on tamed animals, so be very careful bringing pets.

PVM Competition

A weekend without football (well, there is the pro bowl, Blah), let us fill the void with a fun PVM competition.  Saturday afternoon (Jan 30) at 4:00 pm EST we will gather at the Brit Counselor Hall.  There will two divisions, 2 player teams and 4 player teams.  The 2 player teams will not be allowed to have tamed beasts.  The four player teams will be allowed to have 2 tamed beasts.  This will be a timed event; the teams that dispatch the monster in the quickest time will be declared the winner. Please Email your teams by Noon on Saturday Jan 30.   Email your teams to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Due to time constraints there will be a limit of 6 teams for each division.

Player Town Recognition

E-mail Print PDF

There will be a meeting on Wednesday Jan 27 to discuss player town recognition.  This is a very preliminary meeting to get input and feedback from Atlantic players.  The meeting will be held in the Brit counselor's hall (tram side) at 8:00 PM EST.  The following is an initial guideline and highly subject to change:

Requirements for Town recognition:

1) Minimum of 5 Establishments in a geographical area that promotes the community of the inhabitants.

2) Some sort of leadership structure, mayor, council.

3) Town Activity, where the town does have citizens around at least a few times each week, usually with some announced meetings or events.

4) Must have 6 months of history.  There should be an archive of town records either in game or outside of the game.

5) Web Sites and/or Message Boards, where there is a way to communicate with their citizens, patrons, and visitors. The web site or board usually gives information about what the town is designed for, who the mayor is, and how people can get involved with the town.

Benefits:

1) Banner placed in the town, the town has some limited design input.

2) A tome placed under the banner, listing the date of recognition and the town leadership/citizen roles.

In the future perhaps:  Gates  connecting the town to a central area (perhaps the Luna Fair Grounds)

If you are unable to attend you can email your questions and comments to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  This again is the initial start of player town recognition, please be patient it is a work in progress.

Help Needed Decoding The Orders From John Hind

Avery has not  yet been able to decode the Orders that were found with the brigands at Wrong Dungeon.  The public is asked to help decode the message; if the message cannot be decoded by the evening of Friday January  22nd, Dawn will grant a pardon to the brigand spy to get the cipher:

Here is the text of the Orders:

XF TIBMM BUUBDL GSPN IFEHF NBAF XIFO NBST DPNFT JOUP PQQPTJUJPO

If you can decode this message please email the answer to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Let us not allow this brigand to get a pardon!

UPDATE:

Alas, The message has been decoded, here is the first correct response:

*Dallben hugs the walls close and moves with light step to Avery's office*
Why should I not help? Why should I not allow the conflict to accelerate...

*a note slides under Avery's office door*

"we shall attack from hedge maze when mars comes into opposition"
